Native American Literacy Project

Native American Literacy Project

The Native American Literacy Project was generated through funding from the State of Utah. Headed by the current State of Utah Director of Native American Affairs, Shirlee Silversmith, the project recorded five traditional stories from each of the Utah tribes, Uintah-Ouray, Paiute, Northwest Band of Shoshone, Goshute, Navajo, and Ute Mountain Ute. The narratives represent tales that are intended to both teach and amuse. The set consists of 30 booklets, each measuring 5.5" x 8.5", illustrated by tribal members in full color.

Booklets are available individually or in sets. Booklets are $2.00 each.

Tribal set (example: 5 Navajo stories) can be purchased for $10.00

Entire collection of 30 booklets: $55.00 (save $5.)

All sets come with downloadable stories on a CD Rom
