Coyote Steals Fire
When Coyote finds himself freezing and shivering in the cold weather, he engages his animal neighbors in a quest to find warmth. Although the Flicker and Hawk both attempted to bring back hot coals from Fire Mountain, in the end, the job fell to Coyote. Follow Coyote on his journey to bring warmth into the Fourth World.
This traditional story is told by Don Mose. The delightfully-humorous illustrations are by Molly Trainor and the Navajo language translations are by Clayton Long and Lucille Hunt.
